School Board

The purpose of Willowstone Academy’s School Board is to support and uphold our Principal, Director of Operations, and all school staff in their daily endeavours to carry out the vision and mission of our organization. In practical terms, this implies the delicate balancing of many (and at times competing) priorities and objectives within our stakeholder community.  Please feel welcome to contact the school board at schoolboard@willowstoneacademy.com if you have any questions or comments.

Jeffie Bridge and her family joined the WA community in September 2019, with children in grades two and four at that time.  They have been very impressed with the school and are pleased to see its bridged approach to student development, supporting their children in both academic and personal growth.

Jeffie is grateful to have her family be so warmly welcomed into the diverse community Willowstone Academy has created.   While they do not attend First Lutheran Church, or practice any particular faith, their family is committed to the civic virtue of service and community involvement. Jeffie’s career background is in Medical Legal Consulting.

He is blessed to be married to his wife of 47 years, Helga, have 2 married children and 3 grand children, one of which is enrolled at Willowstone Academy in grade 6. Throughout all these years, living through many challenges, Helga and Ken have been carried by and continue in their faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

In his years at FLC, Ken has served in several ways. Primarily, has has served as a member of the Board of Elders for over 30 years. He was also involved in the earliest years of the school’s creation, as a member of the inaugural school board (circa 1997), where he embraced the vision and saw the school as a porch which could open children and their families to the hope and grace offered in a relationship with their Creator and Saviour. In his experience watching and attending the scores of school events/activities over the years as a WA Grandparent, Ken is inspired by and loves that our students are learning about God and how to live in confident relationship with Him, each other, their school community, their city, their country, their world.
